Caspian Power 2014 - prospects of development for the energy sector of the Caspian region
The 4th Caspian International Power and Alternative Energy Exhibition, Caspian Power 2014, opened on 3rd June at Baku Expo Centre. This is the only specialized event in the Caspian region that demonstrates the achievements of the power industry. Official support is provided by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy Resources. The exhibition is organized by the British company ITE Group Plc and its partner in the Caucasus, Iteca Caspian LLC.
The opening of the exhibition was marked by a visit from President Ilham Aliyev. The head of state reviewed the displays from leading energy companies, and learned about the latest projects and developments in the field of alternative energy and energy-saving technologies. It is no coincidence that Caspian Power is being held at the same venue as the biggest event in the oil and gas industry of the Caspian region, Caspian Oil& Gas. Within the framework of these exhibitions, the international exchange of industry experience can be expanded. According to the organizers of the exhibition, the equipment and technologies presented at Caspian Power 2014 will be used in the implementation of new energy projects and contribute to the upgrade of Azerbaijan’s energy infrastructure.
Among the exhibitors are leading suppliers of technologies from the energy sectors of Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Finland. Along with national organizations such as the State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy Resources, Caspian Power 2014 has gathered together many domestic and foreign brands, including AzAlternativEnerji, AzGunTech, Bylectrica, EAE Elektrik, Electronic Information Systems (EIS), GALAD, GokNur Baku, Kardes Elektrik, Minsk Electrotechnical Plant named after V.I. Kozlov, Nobel Electric, Radiy, Research Center "Bresler", Schneider Electric, Sumgait Technologies Park, Togliatti Transformator and Wartsila Azerbaijan. For most of these companies participation at this exhibition is a priority.
The layout of the exhibition is in thematic sections, which include energy and electrical engineering, energy conservation and efficiency, and cables and wires and lighting. Every year an increasing number of specialists from the different areas of the energy industry willingly attend Caspian Power. On display are richly decorated stands demonstrating LEDs, solar panels, LED lights, other lighting solutions, various cabling and wiring products, self-supporting cables, switching and distribution equipment, energy-saving bulbs, automated systems for technical and commercial electricity metering and so on.

The current exhibition has created favorable conditions for the further development of the energy sector of the Caspian region, as well as providing visitors with a unique opportunity to meet senior representatives of the electricity industry and learn about the latest technological developments and strategies in the development of electrical power.
